Yet, as the name whispered promises of grandeur and finesse, the facade played a humble jest, mirroring the simple charm of a casual snack counter rather than a bastion of haute cuisine. But oh, what deceptive delights lay within! Stepping inside ‘t Raadhuys was akin to tumbling down a culinary rabbit hole. The interior, a stark contrast to the unassuming exterior, unfolded like a velvet-lined treasure chest. Tables flickered with candlelight, casting soft shadows that danced on pristine tables, creating an atmosphere so sophisticated, it could make a Parisian salon blush. The menu, however, seemed to have missed the memo. It boasted a collection of fare no more opulent than your average diner’s—a humdrum roster of grilled cheese sandwiches and deep-fried snacks. Yet, this apparent simplicity was but a clever ruse. What we expected to be a mundane meal turned into an exquisite performance of flavors. The soup arrived, steaming like a potion brewed in the cauldrons of comfort. It was an elixir so rich and enveloping, each spoonful was a warm embrace. The grilled cheese sandwich, a golden, crispy creation that sang with the gooey tune of perfectly melted cheese, was a sonnet in every bite. And the pièce de résistance, the beef ragout croquettes, nestled on a bed of bread like pearls, offered a crunchy exterior that broke away to reveal a heart of savory, spiced ragout—each morsel a testament to the alchemy of simple ingredients transformed into gold. ‘t Raadhuys, you sly magician, you master of gustatory illusions—you had us fooled and yet so fantastically fed. In this theater of the unexpected, every bite was a revelation, every dish a deft sleight of hand. What seemed a quirky juxtaposition of the ordinary against a backdrop of elegance proved a delightful enigma. Here, in the heart of Aalten, lies not just a humble eatery, but a stage for an epicurean escapade that thrills and confounds, a place where the gastronomic meets the theatrical. ”

“ Wij hebben 20 november heerlijk tapas gegeten samen met mijn ouders, zij waren die dag 50 jaar getrouwd. Vriendelijk personeel. Wij komen zeker nog een keer vaker eten! ”

“ We hadden een vakantiewoning gehuurd in Aalten en wilde voor wat betreft het “eten” ontzorgd worden. Uiteindelijk viel onze keus op ‘t Raadhuys. De reden was omdat ‘de dienstverlening die t Raadhuys boo totaal was. De contacten over wat we wilden waren goed en geadviseerd . Op onze vragen kregen we altijd snel antwoord We bestelde voor de ochtenden ontbijt, dat zeer smakelijk en goed verzorgd was. Het avondeten was eenmaal een verrukkelijk buffet. Werkelijk prima verzorgd. De daaropvolgende avond hadden we een BBQ. Dat was helemaal top. Het vlees werd perfect gebakken door Kevin , de eigenaar van de catering. De bij behorende salades vielen ook goed in de smaak. De afgesproken tijden voor de leveringen waren altijd op de vooraf afgesproken tijdstippen. Conclusie het kon niet beter en mede door ‘t Raadhuys dienstverlening hadden we een perfect familieweekend. Dus een aanrader voor iedereen!! Doen dus!! ”
